Mumford & Sons: The House Band – Tribeca 2026

I went into Mumford & Sons: The House Band, thinking it would be a regular concert documentary. What I did not realize was that they were touring with a superband that featured Maggie Rogers, Trombone Shorty, Chris Thile, Nathaniel Rateliff, Lucius, Madison Cunningham, Ketch Secor, Celisse Henderson, and Leif Vollebekk. Noah Kahan, Lainey Wilson, and Darius Rucker also joined them on three of the nights.

The film is a tour diary capturing them on trains, rehearsals, stages, and in-between. Each performance is unique and it is fascinating to see them interact, rushing against time to learn each other’s songs.

Director Sam Jones and editor Erin Nordstrom deliver a film that’s a pure joy to watch. On a side note, I hope everyone either has or finds someone to jump into their arms, the way Carey Mulligan hugs Marcus Mumford here.
