In Josalynn Smith’s RIDE OR DIE, Paula and Sloane reunite for the first time since high school. After a passionate night, they decide to take a road trip from St. Louis to California, which takes violent turns.
We know they will likely get in trouble, but Smith and co-writer Alicia Louzoun-Heisler are not interested in adding outside elements to the story and concentrate on the entrancing relationship between the two. Briana Middleton and Stella Everett play off one another exceptionally, and the mutual affection of their characters bursts off the screen.
The steamy and unsettling road movie will likely captivate audiences at this year’s queer film festivals and when it is more widely released.
