Sinéad O’Shea’s BLUE ROAD: THE EDNA O’BRIEN STORY, screening at the Seattle International Film Festival, tells the story of the Irish novelist who passed away last year.
It’s a well-edited and entertaining documentary that mixes great archival material with compelling footage shot for the film. Jessie Buckley voices her whenever O’Brien is not on the screen herself.
Going in, I did not know much about her. Blue Road painted a clear picture of the artist and the woman, who was quite the fascinating character.
