Hirokazu Kore-eda’s BROKER from last year’s Cannes Film Festival is on Hulu. His new one Monster premiered last week at this year’s festival and has yet to find a US distributor.

Sofia Auza’s ADOLFO is a 70-minute hidden gem among this year’s virtual Seattle International Film Festival streaming selections. It’s a simple, heartfelt film about two troubled souls connecting over the course of one night. It is visually pleasing with a lovely ambient score. Fans of Before Sunrise should check it out.

Victim/Suspect

The documentary VICTIM/SUSPECT from Nancy Schwartzman, which explores the treatment of sexual assault victims in the current justice system, had premiered at this year’s Sundance and is on Netflix today.
