Idealistic and beloved teacher Carla Nowak, played convincingly by Leonor Benesch, is not happy when one of her students is suspected of theft and would like to find out who the culprit is. What enfolds turns life into a nightmare for her and others at the school.
With its tension-filled minimalistic score, intricate shots, and excellent performances, it is one suspenseful and nerve-racking ride. Its claustrophobic 4:3 aspect ratio adds to the pressure felt. If you watch it back to back with Eric Gravel’s equally anxiety-inducing Full Time, you might have a heart attack.
