Brooklyn Horror Film Festival has announced another stellar lineup for its 2023 edition. It will open with the World Premiere of KILL YOUR LOVER from directors Alix Austin and Kier Siewert. The Centerpiece of the festival is Pascal Plante’s disturbing psychological serial killer thriller RED ROOMS, which won the top prizes at Karlovy Vary and Fantasia festivals. Jenn Wexler’s THE SACRIFICE GAME, which is a genre festival staple this year, will close out the festival.
Other highlights include the terrific neon-lit queer revenge thriller FEMME with great performances from Nathan Stewart-Garrett and George MacKay, World Premiere of BREATHING IN from Gaia director Jaco Bouwer, Cannes favorites SLEEP, TIGER STRIPES, CONANN, VINCENT MUST DIE, and Satanic Panic documentary SATAN WANTS YOU from SXSW. Larry Fassenden’s latest BLACKOUT and Amanda Kramer’s first foray into non-fiction, SO UNREAL, are also being screened.
The festival is happening at Nitehawk Cinema’s Williamsburg and Prospect Park locations October 12-19, 2023. You can go to https://brooklynhorrorfest.com and https://letterboxd.com/filmfestival/list/brooklyn-horror-film-festival-2023/ for the full lineup.
