Urchin is a very impressive feature directorial debut with a brilliant central performance from Frank Dillane.
Harris Dickinson and his team make excellent use of colors, light, and zoom all the while telling a compelling story of poverty and self destruction with surreal touches.
It was nice to hear Desireless’ Voyage Voyage again after Compartment No. 6 and The Girl and The Spider a few years ago.
It is a realist, humanist film full of compassion that does not pretend to have easy answers.
Urchin starts its theatrical run in NY and LA on October 10 and will go wide on October 17.
