In a year full of visually striking films, Sayombhu Mukdeeprom’s cinematography still stands out. The film features another intense score from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross and a banging soundtrack that includes Nirvana’s Come As You Are and Prince’s Musicology.
The first chapter made me think of Fassbinder’s Querelle and the ending appears to be an homage to 2001: A Space Odyssey. Fascinating filmmaking at every turn!
