Tribeca Festival has announced their 2024 lineup including films with Kristen Stewart, Lily Gladstone, Christopher Abbott, Jenna Ortega, Michael Cera, Naomie Harris, Carrie Coon, Elizabeth Banks, Steve Buscemi, John Magaro, and Demián Bichir. 86 features will have their World Premieres at the festival.
Among the Narrative Competition entries, there is Morrisa Maltz’s follow-up to The Unknown Country JAZZY, which again stars Lily Gladstone. SACRAMENTO, Michael Angarano’s first film in director’s chair since 2017’s Avenues, has Kristen Stewart, Michael Cera, Maya Erskine, and Angarano himself. Nicholas Colima’s coming-of-age comedy GRIFFIN IN SUMMER includes Melanie Lynskey, Kathryn Newton, and Owen Teague.
Justin Anderson’s SWIMMING HOME with Christopher Abbott, Mackenzie Davis, and Nadine Labaki is featured in the International Narrative Competition. The section is home to films from France, China, Kazakhstan, Bolivia, Uruguay, Slovenia, Sweden, Italy, and Poland.
Spotlight section includes Christy Hall’s DADDIO with Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn, Karim Ainouz’s FIREBRAND with Alicia Vikander and Jude Law, Tiffany Paulsen’s WINTER SPRING SUMMER OR FALL with Jenna Ortega, Julia von Heinz’s TREASURE with Lena Dunham and Stephen Fry, Nathan Silver’s BETWEEN THE TEMPLES with Jason Schwartzman and Carol Kane, Tolga Karacelik’s THE SHALLOW TALE with Steve Buscemi and John Magaro, Guillem Morales’ THE WASP with Naomie Harris and Natalie Dormer, and Jeffrey Reiner’s LAKE GEORGE with Carrie Coon and Shea Whigham.
There are new documentaries from Dawn Porter, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Jeff Zimbalist, Contessa Gayles, Joshua Zeman, Neil Berkeley, James Jones, Oliver Murray, and Andrew McCarthy.
Midnight and Escape From Tribeca sections have a number of promising genre films including festival favorites KILL and THE DEVIL’S BATH and the World Premiere of Marcus Dunstan’s slasher ALL MY FRIENDS ARE DEAD with Jade Pettyjohn and Jojo Siwa.
